Custom wet food plates for fancy kitties.

These plates were hand built with slabs of brown speckled stoneware, with slip trailed rims. The designs were made with a technique called Mishima. First the base colors were under glazed, covered with wax, carved through and then inlaid with different colors of underglaze. I visited two CFA cat shows to learn about various cat breeds for this series.
